Join us for our May Speaker Series with Stan Boling, Former Indian River County Community Development/ Planning Director

Kicking off our May Speaker Series is Stan Boling — a leader in Florida’s urban planning and development. Stan Boling is a seasoned urban planning professional with over 35 years of service in local government, primarily with Indian River County. From 1984 to 2019, he held several key roles, including Community Development Director and Planning Director, where he oversaw long-range planning, development review, zoning, and code enforcement.

Stan earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and his Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida. He is a Phi Beta Kappa member and a past member of the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners. Throughout his career,

Stan served as a trusted advisor to numerous county boards and committees, leading major initiatives in comprehensive planning, land development regulations, school siting studies, and impact fee management. His work played a pivotal role in shaping growth and development policy in Indian River County.
