None of us could imagine Vero Beach without the Heritage Center. For 85 years, our stories, our memories, and our lives have been rooted in this special place.

The Heritage Center was once on the city's demolition list. Together, we can ensure that future generations continue to make their own special memories here.

The Heritage Center: Original Community Hub for All

Attending Summer Arts & Crafts Camp at the Heritage Center, in the 1960’s &70’s was always an adventure…Downtown was THE place to go, and the Heritage Center really was the epicenter for activities. Arts & Crafts Camp was so much fun, experimenting with all different kinds of mediums and materials: clay, leathercraft, painting, mosaics…it really fostered my interest in all disciplines of the arts.

I remember that every part of the Heritage Center was being used in some way…there were kids and adults everywhere, doing some sort of cultural and recreational activities.

It is so great to see that this very special building still in use for special events and activities. We are fortunate to still have this building as the Center of Downtown!
